Description of Program
Trainees undertake an extensive induction program which provides an understanding of the firm structure, the work we do, our clients and training in relation to our office systems and procedures.
Trainees complete three rotations of four months each, with formal performance reviews held at the end of each rotation. The benefit of our rotational system is that at the end of the Traineeship, Trainees can make an informed decision about which practice area they might like to practice.
Rotations will include:
- Litigation department (including construction law);
- Commercial department (including, Employment, Estate Planning, IP, Entertainment and Family Law);
- Property department (including Franchise).
Trainees are allocated a mentor and this provides a genuine opportunity to work alongside and benefit from the experience of senior lawyers within each rotation. Trainees are also assigned a "buddy", who is able to assist and direct them during the year.
We have a collegiate environment with excellent mentoring and coaching from senior lawyers. We reward excellence and dedication in our lawyers and support their progression to senior positions. Employees receive regular feedback on performance, and assistance in setting objectives for the coming year.
