Having been admitted to practice in 1998, Georgina has acted in a wide range of commercial and insurance litigation matters for national and multinational corporations and insurers.
Georgina advises on all types of claims and coverage disputes, particularly those involving breach of contract, public and product liability, building disputes, alternative dispute resolution and general tort-based litigation.
Some related experience has included a multi-million dollar victory at trial for one of the world's leading international fine paper merchants and distributors; a major torts product liability proceeding arising from a fire at a gold refinery; and numerous claims for property damage, economic loss, and damages for personal injury when the Corio Overpass collapsed during construction.
Being a keen advocate, Georgina regularly appears in all manner of civil cases before the Magistrates', County and Supreme Courts and has appeared before the High Court of Australia. She has also appeared as prosecution counsel for a State Government Authority in the prosecution of various criminal summary offences.
